Inherited from my recent holidays at Griffon Forest in the Yorkshire, here is the Griffonster, a weird forest beast spending most of his time eating squirrels, feeding rabbits and trying new haircuts.

Here’s a colorized version of my last attempt to sketch my partner. It happened on the way back from our last Easter holidays in France and even if it’s still not 100% respectful of the original model, it’s quite a big improvment from my first ever try (yes, it’s the same person!).

First drawing attempt since I’ve finished my recent illustration course, I’ve started this from last week Illustration Friday theme: poist. But I also decided to follow my instinct and go for something which wouldn’t be under control. So I can’t give more explanation than that and just move on to the next one, hopefully soon!

Flawed

An illustration I’ve done few weeks ago for an Illustration Friday theme but forgot to post in time. I think I’ve been influenced by my children illustration course but wanted to do something a bit darker than the usual “happy child/happy world” parents are looking for their childrens.
IF: Intricate
Here’s my instant interpretation of this week Illustration Friday: Intricate. I tried my new eco-friendly wax pastels from Caran D’Ache for the first time and get impressed by how easy is it to mix colours together and fill up large amount of the spread very quickly.
It Might sounds silly but among my current illustration course, I’m just rediscovering how good it is to draw traditionnaly rather than digitally. The variety of drawing tools, papers, colours is a fantastic sources of inspiration and beat my old pixels friends. Well, I still like digital but I’ve just forget a bit too much about simplicity of paper!
