I recently had the chance to design the album cover for Tuk Tuk first EP, a Cardiff based jazz trio ignited by Joe Northwood.
Joe wanted to translate the blend of freedom and unpredictability of his music into an illustration inspired by my Charactrons. Seemed like a good fit as Charactrons are all about being free and unpredictable.
As ever it started with a few moleskined sketches…
…resulting in a couple of roughs…
…that definitely needed refinement to come up with the semi final routes…
…eventually leading to an exciting physical release…
…and a brilliant launch event at Dempsey’s in Cardiff!
