As this year began I looked for something new to pimp up my little illustration world.

I found out about this impressive project by illustrator Chris Piascik, “1000 Days of Drawing“, who sketched something new everyday for four years (!) and eventually published a book out of it. I subconsciously let it grow for few days and decided to start up my own serie of tiny daily drawings.

March is a month (.) that usually deepen my lines and makes me feel less young than the day before (this bizarre birthday thingy).

But March is also this time of the year when I plunge myself into a busy sketching process to complete the annual Serco Prize for illustration. This year I’m going to reveal my London best kept secret: The Blackheath Cavern Club.

Unsolicited + illustration = Ullustration: the latest entry in my imaginary dictionary.

The River Thames Competition: Oyster Cart

“I see the River Thames as a natural and beautiful way to open London to a wide horizon of foreign cultures and to inspire whoever experience it. Knowing how the London transport system works, oysters definitely have a role to play here.”

This is how I described my involvement in this year’s AOI/TFL/SERCO illustration competition for which I’ve just submitted the piece above. It’s about The River Thames (not just oysters).
